Thanks and kudos to AQL for the SMS to email service that made this possible!

Here are the latest blogs from all the teams on the rally. Only teams that have included location data in their blogs appear on the map, and their location is the last one we know about; having said that, we do try to add their location if they mention where they are!

Today we left Istanbul after 2 nights in a nice little hostel. What an amazing place, the weather, the food and the sights. Had some proper Turkish kebabs and tea sat on a roof top terrace overlooking the sea. Visited the Grand Bazaar and the Aya Sophia mosque. Now getting some distance done as its going to take longer to get through Turkey than we expected.

We've left Burgas today after a day relaxing by the beach and more amazing weather. Just crossed the border into Turkey, and now on the way to Istanbul for a night in a hostel. The border took almost 2 hours of waiting in various different queues. No luck as of yet finding a road map of Turkey.

We've just crossed the border into Bulgaria, which involved an unexpected ferry trip across the Danube. Yesterday we drove over the trans fagarasian mountain pass, which was a spectacular piece of road (as featured on top gear). We camped at the other side of it and today we drove into the capital Bucharest, which was absolutely nerve shredding. Still 30 degree weather but the car's air con is helping us out.

We've just entered Romania, the first border where we needed documents! On the road to a campsite, but camping doesn't look too popular here. Stayed in a brilliant boutique hostel in Budapest and the goulash was fantastic, as were the 'ruin' bars. Struggled to find a campsite last night as we decided to stay in Budapest during the day to so some sight seeing. Turned up at a campsite at 11pm and the guy let us in. We are truly in Eastern Europe now after our tour of 4 capital cities in 4 days! Weather is amazing, 25 deg plus each day. Car still running perfectly.

After spending 3 hours trying to drive through Vienna we found our campsite and watched some more of the world cup with some Austrian beers. The next morning we walked around Vienna and then headed off for Bratislava through a massive rain storm. On the road now to Budapest, having just crossed the Hungarian border. Hostel tonight with some excellent Goulash hopefully!

After watching the Germany game with Currywurst and beers in Hamburg, we ended up camping in Leipzig. Following a nice afternoon stop in Dresden, we drove into the Czech Republic and found a hostel in the middle of Prague. Food and beer was excellent and cheap! Now stuck in a traffic jam heading for Vienna.

After a mention on BBC Radio 2 on the way to Hull, we're in Germany, after a few days in the Netherlands and a night in a bizarre hippy campsite in Amsterdam. Watching the Dutch game in the capital city was a highlight.

We're leaving Münster tomorrow for Hamburg, in time for the Deutschland game there! It's been good to sample some great schnitzel, which made a nice change from instant noodles!

René has been a noble chariot thus far, and thanks to some friends for putting us up for the night in Münster.
